The Delta Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., understands the importance of utilizing our voices as the catalysts of change, to that end, our chapter is taking the initiative to educate, empower, and mobilize our local impacted communities.
Now more than ever we are required to be active and participate in our election processes, ensuring that we as a community are charting a path forward for collective equity, equality, and justice.
“The chief significance of Alpha Phi Alpha lies in its purpose to stimulate, develop, and cement an intelligent, trained leadership in the unending fight for freedom, equality and fraternity. Our task is endless.”
~Jewel Henry Arthur Callis, May 1946
To that end, Delta Xi Lambda through its Government Relations Committee and Hankins Johnson Education Foundation, Inc., has revitalized how we engage in our national program, “A Voteless People Is A Hopeless People”. Expanding our voter education, registration, and outreach initiatives, participating in forums, drives, canvassing, and adopting a precinct with the Orange County Supervisor of Elections.
We encourage our brothers and community members to make a plan to vote, interact with your elected officials, and come together to collectively workshop our shared experiences to tackle some of our greatest issues of concern.
