The 2023 YMOD end of the year breakfast was held Saturday July 1, 2023 at the Mead Botanical Gardens. This year’s breakfast awarded four academic scholarships to four seniors in the Central Florida area. Seniors Dyllon Houghton of East Ridge HS, Christopher Goodwin of Wekiva HS, Donell Grimes of Ocoee HS, and Darraus Cooper of Jones HS were this year’s four scholarship honorees.

The keynote speaker of the event was DXL President Jermaine Patterson. President Patterson gave a riveting speech entitled “the pursuit of happiness” and urged our youth to get up and run the race everyday. The event was capped off with a “year in review” video montage that highlighted key points and events of the YMOD program during this academic year. The event ended with fellowship and farewell with an array of pictures taken as keepsake and memory of the lasting bonds forged through this incredible year.
